EXCELLENCE AWARDS FOR SHEMFORD, PINJORE

Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore was awarded Excellence for ‘Eco Friendly School’ in environmental conservation by The Tribune in association with Chandigarh University. The school boasts of its sprawling campus of 10 acres where one can breathe in the pollution free air. The arboriculture in the campus has variety of trees and shrubs.  The school also has its own herbal garden, a compost pit where manure is prepared and rain water harvesting system. Solar panels and solar heaters are installed to generate electricity and warm water. To keep the institute a reflection of beautiful nature, care is taken to conserve the environment and spread awareness in the vicinity about the same.

 

Principal, Ms Amita Dhaka, Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore was also awarded the Excellence Award for her Outstanding Contribution to Education. Ms Amita Dhaka , in her over twenty five years of teaching experience has worked at varied portfolios in different institutions and thus, after having groomed herself through every aspect she stands today as a true leader , the head of Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore. Ms Dhaka has also been a recipient of Best Teacher Award and Star Principal Award.

Dr D R Arora, Chairman, Shemrock and Shemford Group of Schools,and Dr Mrs Bimla Arora, Director, Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore congratulated the Principal for her unstinted efforts and the staff for their contribution to make our dream school a reality. Where children are inspired to learn, play and develop in a healthy, stress less environment in a pollution-free area, near to nature, surrounded with beautiful mountains, away from the maddening crowded cities & yet close to all modern facilities.
