School plays an important role in the personality development of students. Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore celebrates ‘Wow Wednesday’ for the students of Kindergarten for the holistic development and survival in this competitive world. As part of the Stage Smart Activity of Personality Enhancement, the students came dressed up as Chotta Bheem, Chuttki & their friends. Some came dressed up as their favourite poem or story character and spoke few lines on their respective character, coinciding with the theme of the month “My Expression”. These fun activities enhanced their speaking and listening skills and boosted their confidence. To add more fun to it, a birthday party to celebrate the birthdays of this month was also organised.

An Interhouse General Knowledge quiz was held for the students of classes 3 to 5 and Grammar Quiz for the students of classes 1 & 2. It was indeed an enthusiastic activity for the keen Shemstars whose competitive house spirit enthralled the equally enthused audience. It was a novel experience for the students of classes 1 & 2 who put their best foot forward to make their house win.

In the G.K. quiz Shemcourage took the lead, Shemvalour and Shemglory stood second and the third position was bagged by Shempride. The students of Shemglory stood first in the Grammar Quiz while the second and third positions were bagged by Shemvalour and Shempride respectively.

At Shemford Pinjore, co-curricular activities are closely knit with the scholastic curriculum. The importance of sports has been strongly emphasized upon ever since, and, to develop and nurture qualities like team work, sportsmanship and leadership, Inter House sports competitions are held every month.  In the month of July the girls participated in basket ball while the boys got an opportunity to exhibit their competence in football. Principal, Ms. Amita Dhaka, strongly believes ‘real equality is equality of opportunities, not equality of outcomes’. Thus, before the final matches, it is ensured that each and every Shemstar participates in the trials, exhibits his mettle and the best ones represent their houses in the finals.

Along these lines, competition for both the games were held in accordance with the varied age group, the primary wing, the middle school and the senior wing. In the Primary Wing the girls of Shemvalour took the lead in Basketball while the boys of Shempride were the winners in the Football match.

The boys of Shemglory and the girls of Shemvalour were the winners in the matches played by the students of the middle school, while amongst the seniors, the winners of the football match were the students of Shempride.

SHEMSTARS CELEBRATE PARENTS’ DAY

Shemstars’ reverence to their parents was discernible through all the activities conducted at school on August 28. The tiny tots of the Kindergarten sang songs and recited short poems and rhymes to show their tender love and gratitude to their parents. The students of class 1 and 2 were encouraged to make a memory album. It was a treat to the eyes to see them collect and paste beautiful pictures with their little hands. Their fervor and passion to surprise their parents with their albums was indeed captivating. Various other activities and inter house competitions like just-a-minute, extempore and collage making was conducted for the students of primary and senior wing. The participation of the students and the thoughts expressed by them filled the audience with joy and pride.  A special assembly was also conducted to mark the day. Principal, Ms. Amita Dhaka expressed her joy on the occasion and told the students that ‘The most beautiful thing in this world is to see your parents smiling, and knowing that you are the reason behind it’.

At Shemford Pinjore, the Investiture Ceremony is the most coveted occasion. This is the occasion where the members of the ‘School Council’ and the ‘School Cabinet‘ are sworn in office and decorated with badges  bearing the responsibility of righteousness, discipline, uprightness and  virtue. The chosen few are the ones who undergo rigorous rounds of interviews to prove themselves as deserving candidates.  ‘Leadership is all about taking responsibilities without making any excuses’, says Principal, Ms. Amita Dhaka, under  whose  able guidance the exercise of selecting the members of the School Council, and electing the members of the School Cabinet took place.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. D. R. Arora, Chairman, Shemrock and Shemford Group of Schools, and Dr. Mrs. Bimla Arora, Founder Director of Shemrock Group of School.  The members of the School Council and School Cabinet were decorated by the chief guests with badges and sashes which made the group stand apart from the rest.  The swearing in ceremony swelled their parents with pride, who were invited to witness this grand ceremony. Applause resounded in the school hall that echoed for long.

Shaswot Upreti is the Schhol Head Boy, Harshita Narwal is the School Head Girl, Kuber Valecha, the Vice Head Boy, Avantika Sharma, the Vice Head Girl, Sports Captain, Rohit Deb, Sports Vice Captain, Shaina Rishi, Discipline Captain, Sahil Sharma, Vice Discipline Captain, Anshul Verma,Cultural Captain, Nidhi Patil, Vice Cultural captain, Yukti Joshi. Aditi Kumari , Mahima Choudahary, Amrita Panigrahi and Nishtha Goyal the captains of the four houses Shempride, Shamglory, Shemvalour and Shemcourage respectively while Saksham Aggarwal, Lovish Bansal, Muskan Mor and Srishti Shrivastav are their Vice Captains.

In the School Cabinet, Bhawani Sharma has been elected as the Prime Minister for the current academic session, Anshita Bhalla the Health Minister, Mansi Joshi the Discipline Minister, Piyush Choudhary the Sports Minister and Maninder Kaur is the Cultural Minister.

Dr. Mrs. Bimla Arora in her address to the office bearers said that Leadership and responsibility go hand in hand. A leader is the one who knows the way, shows the way and goes the way.

On this prestigious day, the students who excelled in academics in the session 2017-2018 were also felicitated. They brought laurels to the school by producing meritorious results in their class 10 and class 12 board examinations. They were given mementos as Awards for Excellence in Academics, gold and silver medals and certificates of merit.

At Shemford, Pinjore, hands on learning is the key motive for every age group. It was observed and deduced that to raise responsible and wise citizens for the nation, it was imperative to sensitize them about the importance of choosing and voting for the deserving candidate for the parliament. Keeping this in mind, the school organized and conducted the Annual School Cabinet Elections, 2018-2019, today.

This year also after the selection of candidates from all the four houses for the posts of School Prime Minister, School Discipline Minister, School Cultural Minister, School Health Minister and School Sports Minister a period of one week was given, wherein they convinced their peers as to why each one of them would be the best choice. Principal, Ms. Amita Dhaka, made the students aware that each and every vote would help the favourite candidate win or lose, thus as a responsible Shemstar each student would cast a vote.

After a weeklong campaigning, today polling booths were set up under the guidance of the Chief Election Commissioner of the school, Ms. Punam Rajput, to ensure fair voting.  The first vote was cast by the Principal, Ms. Amita Dhaka. It was indeed a spectacle to see the young Shemstars growing into responsible citizens for the nation.

PINJORE DIPSITES OUTSHINE IN CLASS X AND CLASS XII CBSE EXAMINATION, 2018

The students of DPS , Pinjore (now Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore) brought laurels to the school with their outstanding performance in class X and class XII CBSE examination. With as many as 14 students scoring an aggregate of 90% and above in class X , Yashi Goyal topped the list with 96% followed by Harpreet Singh at 95.2% and Harsh Srivastava stood third with 94.8% . Harpreet Singh scored cent percent in S.St. while Shivangi Mishra scored 99. Shruti Bansal, Muskaan and Aditi Prashar also scored 99 marks in Computers.  Harsh Srivastava scored the same in Mathematics. Also as many as 135 students scored 90% and above marks in various subjects. The cent-per-cent quality result also gave everyone moments of exhilaration.

In class XII Soumyadeep Pathak took the lead in Science Stream scoring 94% marks followed by Upasna Sharma and Srishtie Sabherwal with 92% and 91.6% marks respectively. The Commerce Stream was topped by Aneesh Sharma followed by Ritwick Machhral while Anushka Sharma took the lead in Humanities. The Management, Principal and Staff congratulated all the students on their luminous performance.

SHEMFORD FUTURISTIC SCHOOL PINJORE organized Shemford Summer Cricket Tournament in its world class cricket ground from May 20, 2018 to May 23, 2018. The tournament was inaugurated with lot of zeal, enthusiasm, energy and sportsmanship. Various teams participated from tricity.

   

The tournament consisted of league and knockout matches. Prizes under various categories i.e. Man of the series, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best All Rounder and Man of the Match were given away to the achievers along with Winners and Runners Up trophy to the winning teams by the Principal during the closing meet of the Tournament.

It was indeed Mothers’ Day at SHEMFORD Futuristic School, Pinjore, where mothers of our ShemStars had a momentous experience of watching their children performing exclusively for them. Ms. Amita Dhaka, Principal of SHEMFORD Pinjore, greeted the exuberant gathering. She also confirmed that care is taken to inculcate Sanskars in the children as a part of the school curriculum and, under this theme, various activities were conducted, class-wise, to make all the mother of every ShemStar feel special and blessed. The students of the Pre-Primary wing stole the show with their innocent expressions in a beautiful dance performance, while the students of the Primary and the Middle School brought tears to the eyes of all through their beautiful items expressing their love and gratitude to their mothers. It was a fun filled day for the mothers as various activities like Act Smart, Tune Smart, Walk Smart, Rhythm Smart, Cook Smart, Write Smart and Advice Smart were organized, where they got a platform to exhibit their thoughts, expressions and talents, and of course, relive their childhood. The jubilance of the day increased manifold when certificates for Excellence in Academics were given away to the Star Achievers for the session 2017-2018.  Dr. Mrs. Bimla Arora congratulated all the mothers on this special occasion.
