SHEMSTARS PAY TRIBUTE TO MARTYRS

A special assembly was conducted at Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore to pay homage to the martyrs who lost their lives in the Pulwama attack. On 14 February 2019, a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Lethpora (near Awantipora) in the Pulwama districtJammu and Kashmir, India. The attack resulted in the deaths of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel.  This attack has affected each and every Indian to the core. The Shemstars, being children of tender age were also in great turmoil of what happened, why it happened and what is the government doing about it. Their queries were resolved by an interactive discussion wherein they were explained about the roots of the trouble and the steps that the government has taken as a silent attack to revenge the martyrdom. Two minute silence was observed in the assembly. This was followed by slogans in the glory of India and her soldiers. The Shemstars understood well that each and every Indian can play his part in his own little way to prove his love for the country.
