At Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore, it is firmly believed that kids prosper best with a broad curriculum that celebrates their various talents, and then nurtures and grooms them to bring out the best in an individual. At school immense opportunity is given to the children to participate in various Sports and co-curricular activities throughout the session. Various inter house competitions are also conducted every Saturday for which the students are assessed. The teachers and students of all the four houses, i.e. Shempride, Shemcourage, Shemvalour and Shemglory, put in a lot of effort in each and every competition so that they come out with flying colours. It is a fair play with a purpose to instil team spirit and sportsmanship among the children
The culmination of the activities/session is done by giving away the Principal’s trophy, the most coveted and prestigious award to the best house of the academic session. This year, it was Shempride that took away the trophy with a clean sweep. The school hall echoed with roars of joy when the winning team received the award from Principal, Ms. Amita Dhaka.
Amita ma’am in her address to the gathering congratulated all the students who had participated all the year round in various activities. She said that ‘the best part of competition is that through it we discover what we are capable of and how much more we can actually do than we ever knew’. She also encouraged the students to stay focused, go after their dreams and achieve their desired goals.
